Can’t tell you if it was for nothing
But I just wanna tell you one thing
I should have shown you all my scars
Before they tore us apart
You could have known right from the start
I was so afraid of looking weak
Lost in my ways in too deep
And knowing that in my soul
Was tearing me in two
I’m sorry that I couldn’t face the truth
‘Cause I could feel it in my bones
Before I knew we would never be enough
So I lied to myself
Even though I try
I cannot force the love
Can't for the love
You burned yourself on something cold
Because I can never give you what you want
And I lied to myself
Even though I try I cannot force the love
Can't force the love
I always give up when things get difficult
‘Cause love never fit in with the cynical
And that’s why I had to leave before you'd see me bleed
I’ll never be the person that you need
I hope that you find someone that you deserve
Someone who’s not afraid of getting hurt
'Cause I only crawl so I don’t have to fall
I’d rather have nothing than take it all
'Cause I could feel it in my bones
Before I knew we would never be enough
So I lied to myself
Even though I try
I cannot force the love
Can't for the love
You burned yourself on something cold
Because I can never give you what you want
And I lied to myself
Even though I try I cannot force the love
Can't force the love

AMAZING album from start to finish. An emotional journey that grabs you by the nape of the neck and never lets go. I happened upon this album from nowhere, and I'm so thankful that I was brought into their universe. A mixture of several different musical genres - early 1990s alt rock, pop, funk, intricate prog rock, black metal, folk... the result is nothing short of breathtaking. A superb album by a wonderfully creative band. Thank you for existing. wymanchoyphotography666
Supplementing sasscore insanity with bolstered vocals and pop-punk songcraft, the California band are kicking ass and breaking boundaries. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 21, 2024

A second EP from this trio, who do not feature guitar in their instrumentation. Despite that, it is a very satisfying progressive rock outfit, which veers into pop territory at times. The layered vocals are the pivot from which the drummer and both keyboardists turn. There is some violin, viola, and cello, adding to the density of the production, which maintains a delicacy, even in the heaviest parts Nickie Harte Kelly
